Game: The Jumping Game
Take a walk in the space as we did in Walking. Make sure you're walking with enough energy to feel the air passing over your skin, and try to avoid walking in a circle or going into the 1000-yard zombie stare. Stay alive and awake.

As you're walking make contact with somebody this could be by touching them gently on the shoulder it could be by making eye contact or it could be by coming and standing in close proximity with them

Once you've made contact the game is to do a jump (or suspend your weight for a second), at the same time as your partner, and then continue walking. You cannot move on until you have jumped together.

Then…
If everyone is being kind and collaborative, making it clear when they’re planning to jump then it is easy to succeed the game.

I might encourage you to be less polite: you can trick your partner, you can fake-out when you’re about to jump, you can put your partner in the shit. The game remains the same- you have to jump together before you can move on, but making it more difficult may also make it more fun.

Reflection
What did you see?
What did you hear?
What did you feel?
Adapted from a game by John Wright, from his book Why is That So Funny? (2006)
